We understand the special role your Equine plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your  horse's health care. We treat your horse as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education.
 
Mertens Mammals, LLC was established in February 2003 to set the standard of professionalism and client satisfaction in mobile, equine veterinary service.  The practice is based in beautiful Boring, OR.  We tend to equine patients in Clackamas and surrounding counties, serving areas within an approximately 20 mile radius from Boring. 
 
Veterinary Services Offered include:
- pre-purchase examination
- diagnostic imaging (portable x-ray & ultrasound)
- lameness examination
- dentistry
- clinical pathology
- routine wellness care (vaccination, deworming, consultation)
- neonatal examination
- emergency care
- surgical referral
 
Practice owner, Katharine V. Mertens, DVM, graduated from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
